ACS Jakarta Model Congress Club was founded in April 2014 by a group of ex-delegates who had attended previous government simulation programs. They felt that with more preparation and guidance, future delegates would be more prepared to excel in conferences that the school would attend. 

 

AJMCC is the first student run club in the whole school where the students take over a CCA program and coordinate the schedule and material of the club with the advice of Teachers.

 

AJMCC is a government simulation program simulating International and Domesitc US government bodies. We want to immerse students into political debate to experience real life situations delegates and politicans go through. Furthermore we want to build up the debating, research and political skills of delegates to ensure that they would be able to fully enjoy future conferences. Students would be trained intensively to conduct research, improve public speaking and write position papers/briefs. Furthermore AJMCC provides realistic simulations of government bodies to all students participating in AJMCC as CCA. Some of the committees we have are: United Nations Security Council, World Health Organization, U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Supreme Court, International Criminal Court and many more!

 

Though only chosen delegates are permitted to partcipate in conferences abroad, we highly encourage the participation of any student (as this club is a CCA) as they will recieve the same guidance, preparation and material to improve their debating and research skills right here in Jakarta!

 

The club is currently headed by President Tiffani Tjandra and staffed by experienced ex-delegates.
